Beautiful musical themed 1930s costume. This early 1940s halloween costume features a heart patch on the chest and a cream cotton felt piece attached that emulates a music sheet, with hand stitched staves and hand painted musical notes, that gathers on the waist and graciously falls at the side of the skirt. Skirt has darts for volume, and handmade musical note appliques made of cream fabric and white cotton cord. Side snap closure.

---- Details ----
Fabric: Very lighweight rayon crepe
Condition: Good considering its age. The dress is perfectly wearable and structurally sound. However, there are a bunch of small scattered holes on the piece, mainly on the skirt, that blend really well due to its shape and the darts. Armpits also show a bit of wear and some scattered holes. Skirt has a few small mends, mainly on the hem area. The music sheet piece shows a bit of colour transfer where the musical notes are painted. Also, it seems like one of them transfered its colour more than the others and this was fixed by painting over the cream with a lighter coloured paint.
