Sizing

Vintage clothing fits differently than modern clothing. The cut fits much closer to the body. For this reason, it is important that you allow enough room to move comfortably while wearing your vintage garment.

I always provide a general estimated size of each item and its measurements. The chart below is our general guideline to translate vintage to modern sizing. As an additional method, I also recommend you to check the measurements of that piece and compare them with a similar garment you have in your closet.

These pieces were often tailored to fit a woman in particular, and a lot of garments show seam allowances, darts, and hem allowances. It is pretty possible to have a vintage garment altered to fit you if your measurements are a bit off. If you have any question about a piece in particular, please contact me and I will gladly answer your questions!

Condition

Please keep in mind these are vintage or antique pieces and most of them are decades old. They may show natural signs of wear & age. I do my best to list any & all flaws in the item description. However, I may overlook small flaws.

Wear is part of the magic of vintage and antiques, please buy only it if you share this philosophy.
